Mr. Delaye, what led you to install a robot in your pharmacy?
The decision to install a robot stemmed from a clear goal: to optimize pharmacy operations and free up time for the team. By entrusting the robot with tasks such as organizing, stocking, and dispensing medications, we were able to refocus on our true core work: supporting and advising patients.
What convinced you to choose a Pharmathek pharmacy robot Pharmathek?
We were already familiar with Th.Kohl’s work in pharmacy layout, which naturally led us to consider Pharmathek, part of the same group. Nearly ten years ago, we had the opportunity to visit the facilities in Italy with Mr. Von Liechtenstein: that experience reinforced our confidence in the product quality and reliability of support. Since then, we have installed several versions of the robot and have remained loyal to Pharmathek.
Have you given the robot a name?
Yes, we wanted to give it a cinematic touch: it is called “T2,” in reference to the character from Terminator 2 – the version where he is “good,” indestructible and infallible. It perfectly represents what we expected from the machine: unbeatable efficiency.
Since installing the robot, how has the organization of the pharmacy changed?
The robot now handles all repetitive and low-value tasks: organizing, restocking, dispensing. This has greatly relieved the team and improved workflow at the counter. Our staff can focus on patient interactions and personalized advice.
Is the Sintesi robot easy to use daily?
Absolutely. We have experienced several generations of Pharmathek robots, and this one is the most intuitive. The interface is clear, fast, and pleasant to use, and the technical improvements are obvious. The robot is very quiet, loading is faster, and responsiveness is remarkable: details that truly make a difference every day.
Which feature do you value the most?
Without a doubt, the Pharmaload automatic loader Pharmaload. It is an extremely reliable tool that saves valuable time. It greatly facilitates internal pharmacy logistics, especially when time is limited, as in our case, where activity is always high.
Your pharmacy was recently renovated. Why did you choose to customize the robot’s appearance?
The pharmacy suffered a flood a few months ago, which forced us to completely rethink the space. We worked closely with Th.Kohl for the layout and with Pharmathek for the robot. This collaboration allowed us to create a coherent, modern, and fully customized project. The robot is placed just behind the counter: it draws attention, gives an image of modernity, and integrates perfectly with the overall design, very elegantly.
Why did you choose to make the robot visible from the window?
It was both an aesthetic and strategic choice. By making it visible, we affirm our modernity and attract the attention of passersby. In Cannes, a city with high tourist traffic, this is a real advantage. It sparks curiosity, draws interest, and conveys a dynamic and innovative image of the pharmacy.
Does being in a tourist area affect your use of the robot?
Yes, definitely. During the summer season, visitor numbers are much higher. In this period, the robot becomes indispensable: it handles activity peaks without slowing service. Thanks to it, we can guarantee fast and smooth customer service, even when the pharmacy is busy. It is a real asset in peak season.
Would you recommend Pharmathek to your colleagues?
Yes, without hesitation. We were very well supported throughout the project. The Pharmathek team is attentive and responsive, and every detail is designed to meet our needs. The result exceeds expectations.
Any final words?
I would tell my still hesitant colleagues that changing habits is never easy. However, once a pharmacy robot like Sintesi is chosen, going back becomes unthinkable. Technological solutions like the Euclid3D manipulator, which speeds up preparation, and the automatic loader are truly a daily logistical support. After a short adaptation period, using the system becomes natural, almost instinctive.
