THE PHARMACIST’S FEEDBACK

Doctor Massimo Marcati, ABOCA General Manager

Automating the pharmacy proved to be necessary: we wanted to keep our pharmacists in close contact with people. Installing an automated warehouse allowed us to put the pharmacist and the relationship with the patient first.

The choice of the partner was not easy, so I thought it appropriate to contact our group’s (Aboca) technical office, which started a procedure and a series of technical analysis of the various robots available on the market. Pharmathek, within these technical analysis, showed some pluses that were certainly important in the selection, but in the end the choice fell on Pharmathek because it was the company that give as the most customizable solution, perfect for our needs.

We are satisfied also of the customer care service: thanks to the technical service and training we have been able to overcome any difficulties.

Doctor Maria Vannuzzi, ABOCA Group Pharmacy Retail Director

We are very satisfied as the robot allowed us to have maximum flexibility in the store, which is very large, through the use of 30 m long belts. Thanks to the robot we also give the possibility to our customers to collect the product in the cash point as the final step of the service. This allows us to save time that can be allocated to the relationship with people during the product dispensing process.

Doctor Silvia Rossi, Director of the Municipal Pharmacy of Ponte a Greve

The advantages of installing an automated warehouse are certainly related to a better and more punctual inventory management. Thanks to the robot we always know which products we have in stock.

Another great advantage is related to the management of expiring dates. Before the installation it was necessary to go drawer to drawer to look for the expired products and collect them manually. Now it’s all up to the robot, we only have to press a button.

The robot takes care of the loading process too and this allows us to perform other activities related both to the managing of the store and to back-office activities.

The role of Pharmathek customer care was undoubtedly fundamental since we were completely unprepared about how to use a pharmacy robot. We have received a very thorough training and, step by step, they have followed us in our evolution because clearly the operators must also learn how to control the robot activity.

Doctor Maria Grazia Bello, pharmacist at the Municipal Pharmacy of Ponte a Greve

Thank to automation we have more time for customers and for providing them with the information they may need.

Once you get used to this type of work, there is no going back because it is extremely smoother and much simpler.

Doctor Silvia Rossi, Director of the Municipal Pharmacy of Ponte a Greve

We will never go back to working with the traditional system (the drawers): now the robot is part of our staff.
