Pharmacy Show 2025: technologies that transform the pharmacy
On 12 and 13 October 2025, the NEC in Birmingham will open its doors to the Pharmacy Show, the benchmark event for pharmaceutical professionals in the United Kingdom. This year as well, we will be present together with our exclusive partner Avonnex at stand D35, Hall 4, with the aim of bringing to the UK audience not only advanced dispensing technology, but also a concrete vision of how automation can transform everyday work in the pharmacy.
Sintesi: a robot turned into artwork for the first time
At the centre of our presence will be SINTESI, the pharmacy robot that is already successfully installed in hundreds of pharmacies across Europe thanks to its flexibility. What we will showcase in Birmingham is a completely customized version, a unique creation by the street artist Cibo. It perfectly illustrates Pharmathek’s vision and highlights how a robot can adapt not only to layouts and processes, but also to the identity and aesthetics of the pharmacy itself. A way of saying that automation is never standard: it can be functional, but also expressive.
Virtual Hybrid: speed without complex mechanisms
One of the key strengths will be the Virtual Hybrid feature, designed to handle the fast-moving medicines. In practice, Sintesi creates “virtual channels” for identical products, with the ability to dispense up to six packages in just a few seconds. The innovation is that this speed does not come at the cost of complexity: no additional motors, no extra structural elements, no belts, no ejectors subject to maintenance. Full freedom in the number of references, no limitations in the exit positions, no adjustments when the packaging format changes or when a new generic is introduced. It is a simple, clean logic, free from constraints.
Connected Exit: for smoother dispensing
Anyone working in pharmacy knows: managing delivery points is crucial to keeping workflows fast and orderly. The Connected Exit provides real-time notifications of items arriving at the counter, the recipient, and the order status, offering the team a clear and immediate overview of the workflow. The result? Fewer interruptions, smoother processes, greater efficiency.
Pharmaload: loading that never slows down
Loading also has an impact on productivity. With Pharmaload, products enter the robot quickly, accurately, and safely. Less time spent on back-office operations means more time available for engaging with patients—a factor pharmacists know is truly valuable.
Split Pack App: a solution to a real challenge
Partially used packs often disrupt smooth processes. The Split Pack App offers a simple solution that integrates perfectly with the SINTESI robot: each opened pack receives a new label with both the original data and updated contents, making it traceable again and automatically rechargeable. All this happens without additional hardware, no new interfaces to manage, and even with boxes already in use. This detail removes a major complexity from day-to-day operations.
We look forward to seeing you in Birmingham
The Pharmacy Show is not just a showcase for Pharmathek: it is an opportunity to open a dialogue with British pharmacists and show them how automation can become a true ally to their professional expertise. From customized design to optimized workflows, from automatically managed split packs to the speed of high-intensity dispensing: every Pharmathek technology is born from a real need experienced by those who live pharmacy every day.
