Mr. Bourdon, what led you to install a robot in your pharmacy?
On the occasion of moving to a new pharmacy, I wanted to take the opportunity to modernize the organization and gain efficiency. The goal was simple: to ease the team’s daily workload by reducing repetitive tasks (restocking, preparation, movements), while freeing up time for what has the most value at the counter: listening, advice, and quality of service. The robot proved to be a concrete solution to structure our workflows and better manage time in the pharmacy.
What convinced you to choose a Pharmathek pharmacy robot?
Two elements made the difference: ease of use and integration with our LGO. I was looking for a solution that could be quickly integrated, without technical complexity, to allow immediate use by the team. The idea was to be operational quickly, with a reliable and intuitive tool, and that is exactly what we found with Pharmathek.
Some colleagues have given a name to their robot: is this also your case?
Yes, its name is Toby. The name was chosen together with the entire team: it was a nice way to integrate it into daily life and celebrate the arrival of a new tool within the organization.
After installing the robot, how did your pharmacy organization evolve?
The impact is very clear: much less time is wasted, especially during the receipt of large orders. Concretely, it saves the equivalent of one person’s work at those times, and this changes everything in the organization of the day.
At the counter as well, the benefit is immediate: the packages arrive directly, without the need to move. You remain available in front of the patient, conversations are interrupted less, and overall workflow improves. At first, some team members had some resistance, which is normal, but from the very first uses it was a real revelation. Today, no one would go back.
Is the Sintesi robot easy to use on a daily basis? Is the interface user-friendly?
Yes, it is very easy to use and the interface is intuitive. Getting started was quick, even for those who were not initially very comfortable with this type of equipment. You quickly become autonomous, which is essential in a pharmacy.
For your team, which Sintesi feature do you consider the most valuable?
Without hesitation, Euclid3D. We appreciate its speed, but also the operation of the internal buffer: it allows the complete dispensing of the prescription in a single operation, improving comfort at the counter, reducing interruptions, and increasing dispensing efficiency.
What do you think about the Pharmaload automatic loader? What does it bring to your organization?
Pharmaload provides us with significant time savings in daily operations, especially during large deliveries. Depending on the volumes, it is like saving the working time of one or two people during these loading phases. As a result, we can dedicate more time to advising and supporting patients, instead of engaging the team in logistical tasks.
To conclude, based on your experience, would you recommend Pharmathek to your colleagues?
Yes, absolutely. We are very satisfied, both with the robot and the support. The support service is very responsive: we needed to contact them once or twice in a year, and solutions were found quickly, remotely, without interrupting operations. This is reassuring and highly appreciated in a pharmacy.
Would you like to add anything?
I recommend my colleagues take the step. Honestly, in our experience there are only advantages: a relieved team, smoother organization, and more time for the patient.
