Dr Catalina Lorente, why did you decide to introduce a robot into the pharmacy?
We began to realise that we could no longer keep up: every product sold had to be restocked, and managing the restocking process was taking up more and more time and energy.
What led you to choose Pharmathek?
After evaluating various solutions, we found that some still required a lot of manual work, whilst others did not offer the storage capacity I needed. That is why we chose Pharmathek, which proved to be the solution best suited to our needs.
How has work in your pharmacy changed since the robot was installed?
The most noticeable change concerns restocking. Previously, we had to go down to the storeroom on the lower floor; now, however, thanks to the Pharmaload automatic loader, all we need to do is empty the tray. This has significantly simplified our daily tasks and helped to create a more relaxed atmosphere among the staff.

The most important functions are undoubtedly stock control and expiry date management. These are essential tasks that help to make the pharmacy’s organisation more efficient by reducing errors.
What do you think of the Pharmaload automatic loader?
It’s brilliant. It was clear to me right from the start: there’s no point in installing a robot without an automatic loader. It really simplifies the loading process: now all you have to do is empty the tray, without having to handle every single product manually. This reduces the time spent on restocking and makes the whole process run more smoothly.
