We asked Dr Gemma Vittori, owner of the Bucine Pharmacy, and Dr Linda Romei, a long-standing member of the pharmacy’s staff, to tell us about their experience with the SINTESI robot and the Pharmaload automatic loader.

Dr Gemma, why did you decide to automate your stock management?
I still remember when, fifteen years ago, I first saw a Pharmathek robot at a trade fair in Rome. I realised straight away the value that this kind of technology could bring to my pharmacy. Of all the solutions on offer, Pharmathek was the one that impressed me most in terms of design, innovation and vision for the future.
Which features of SINTESI convinced you to invest in this new solution?
SINTESI offers advanced features that make work even more efficient and precise. I chose this solution to provide the team with a tool capable of further improving the organisation of daily activities, increasing operational speed, reliability and process control.
You chose to customise the SINTESI robot. How important was this aspect to the project?
It was very important to us that the technology blended harmoniously with the pharmacy environment. That is why we opted for a colour scheme for the robot that matches the style of our premises.
What aspects do you appreciate most about working with Pharmathek?
Our experience with Pharmathek has always been extremely positive, both from a technological and a personal perspective. One aspect we particularly appreciate is the support: a competent, helpful team that’s always there when needed. Knowing that we can rely on professionals who understand the reality of our pharmacy and who offer practical support every day is a fundamental added value.
How did the team react to the switch to SINTESI?
Very positively indeed. The interface has been designed to make the work even simpler and more straightforward. Everything runs smoothly, is intuitive and easily accessible via the touchscreen. Even for those who aren’t particularly familiar with technology, the system is simple to use.

Dr Linda, what is the benefit you appreciate most about the SINTESI robot?
The speed with which products are retrieved and delivered to the counter is certainly one of the aspects we appreciate most. Having the product available in a matter of moments allows us to devote more time to the patient and maintain a continuous dialogue during the consultation. This translates into a more efficient service and a better experience for our customers.
What do you think of the Pharmaload automatic loader?
Pharmaload is a great asset when it comes to managing deliveries. We receive numerous orders every day, and the system allows us to fully automate the loading of products. All we need to do is place the goods inside, and the robot takes care of the rest, including checking the products and managing the loading operations.
Furthermore, the integration between the pharmacy’s management system and the robot makes the entire process fast, accurate and reliable.
How has working in the pharmacy changed with SINTESI?
Thanks to SINTESI, many tasks that used to require time and attention are now handled automatically. This relieves the pharmacist of more routine tasks and allows them to devote more energy to advising customers and building relationships with them.
From an organisational point of view, too, the level of precision and reliability has increased significantly.
Based on your experience, would you recommend Pharmathek to your colleagues?
Without a doubt, yes. As well as the quality of the technological solutions, what really makes the difference is the support that Pharmathek offers over time.
