Dr Giuseppe, why did you decide to install a robot in your pharmacy?
Moving to our new premises was an opportunity to rethink the organization of the pharmacy and invest in a solution that would allow us to work more efficiently. We chose to install a robot to modernize stock management and create a more functional setup from the very beginning.
What led you to choose Pharmathek?
The choice came very naturally. My brother has been using a SINTESI robot for around ten years, and his experience has always been very positive. Seeing the reliability of the system over time and the results achieved in his pharmacy gave us the confidence to choose Pharmathek.
How has working in the pharmacy changed since the robot was installed?
After the normal adjustment period, we started to make much better use of the pharmacy’s space. Both the sales area and stock management have become more organized and functional, with a much more efficient setup.
Do you find the SINTESI robot easy to use?
Yes, the interface is intuitive and the learning process was very quick. The entire team uses the robot independently every day and can manage operations with ease. The 22-inch touchscreen display also makes it even more practical and immediate to use.
According to your colleagues, what is SINTESI’s most important function?
Definitely the speed of dispensing, but also the accuracy of medication delivery to the counter. These are the aspects that really make a difference in our daily work.
What do you think of the Pharmaload automatic loader?
We appreciated it right from the start. It makes product loading much faster and simplifies the management of the goods that arrive every day from distributors, saving us time on stock-related activities.
Based on your experience, would you recommend Pharmathek to your colleagues?
Absolutely. The experience we are having confirms the choice we made, and I would recommend Pharmathek to anyone who wants to make their pharmacy more efficient and better organized.
Would you like to add anything?
With pleasure. It will be interesting to meet again in a year to take another look at the situation and share how the SINTESI robot will have continued to support the work of our pharmacy.
We took Dr Giuseppe’s invitation and, more than a year after the installation, contacted him again to find out how his experience with SINTESI had evolved and which benefits had become established over time.
In our last interview, you said it would be interesting to speak again after a year. Today, what would you say about the journey you have taken with SINTESI?
The feeling is that we have a system that continues to improve over time. Over the past year, SINTESI has evolved through updates and new features, becoming increasingly integrated into the pharmacy’s daily workflow and providing even more effective support for the team.
At what times of the day does SINTESI really make a difference?
Definitely when goods arrive at the pharmacy. It is one of the most demanding moments of the day, because we need to manage the incoming stock without interrupting service at the counter. With Pharmaload, the robot takes care of loading while the team can focus on customers or other activities.
The same applies during the busiest hours: the speed of dispensing reduces waiting times and allows us to work more smoothly.
Looking back on this first year, what has confirmed that you made the right choice?
It was the continuity of the benefits over time that confirmed our decision. Day after day, we realized how SINTESI has become an integral part of our work and how much it supports us in the daily management of the pharmacy.
What would you say today to a colleague who is still unsure about automating their pharmacy?
I have already had the opportunity to speak with colleagues who were considering automation. My advice is to come and see the robot in operation for yourself and speak to those who use it every day. I believe that a hands-on experience is the best way to understand the benefits that a solution like SINTESI can bring to the daily management of a pharmacy.
